The following are representative complex commercial matters in which Ms. Benson represented clients:
Represented the largest workers compensation insurer in the State of Maryland in numerous cases involving premium disputes with its insureds;
Successfully represented a large multinational law firm in a collections case, winning summary judgment upon filing the complaint resulting in a favorable settlement on behalf of the client;
Represented large manufacturer of mammogram machines in successful motion to dismiss class action claims;
Successfully represented large corporation and its driver, in successful motion for summary judgment against the plaintiff in a wrongful death case;
Tried ten-day jury trial in the Eastern District of North Carolina involving fraud, breach of contract, and unfair and deceptive trade practices on behalf of large poultry integrator; and
Successfully arbitrated several disputes on behalf of large home builder before the American Arbitration Association.
Pro Bono

Appointed as lead counsel by the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in a civil rights case;
Successfully represented asylum seekers in federal courts and administrative venues achieving legal permanent resident status; and
